Web-Based e-mail service is nothing 'new' to the Internet,from the day it was first just a handy thing you could have if your web site was able to use CGI, to the blistering media pump it is today with services like hotmail, yahoo, excite, and the thousands of others out there.

Unfortunately you cant find a single one without about 15 different frames, flashy graphics you don't want to see, banner adds, Javascript that is most likely going to crash you, and untold delays on outgoing and incoming messages due to the terabytes of SPAM being relayed through them every hour, questionable ethics on the part of the company handling your private messages (like Microsoft trying to pass that they can 'claim ownership' to anything that passes through their server?), and lets not forget the endless brigade of massive SPAM and unwanted messages from 'hotbody3245145' and 'da_princess_of_porno_696969' -- what a..erm, handy.. Commodity. Yeah.

Too bad, you wont find any of that crap here,eh? :)

Our web based mail system is simple to use, anybody can get right to it!

1. Simply point your web browser to:
   [mail.ketnar.org]
2. Type in your username and password (beware, it is CaSe SeNsItIvE!)
3. Click the button.

In a blink of bandwidth, you are off to the land of carefree web-mail from the comfort of ..Well, anywhere.

Our web-based mail system core is driven by a program known as 'TWIG' and written language known as PHP, and is driven by a database system known as MySql, together these tools make for an extremely powerful team. PHP is run completely server side, not a single line of Javascript is involved, there are NO banners, no flashy graphics, no frames, no nothing, just e-mail access you can use.

Tip: You can browse through and deal with your e-mail online, and when you get home, or to your own computer, you can still download it normally through any mail client (see [POP3] for details) and keep a local copy after clearing out any unwanted messages. thus cleaning out your web-based mailbox.
