What is it, and what kind is available?

Ketnar.org offers full user shell access with all accounts save for the email only (but it can be added upon reasonable request,for shell mail reasons), including many file transfer methods.

Shell access is how you access your account at the command prompt level (for those who are unfamiliar with this, think of it as a dos prompt) which enables you to run programs, issue commands, move files around, edit, etc. It is much like having your own server to do things on remotely.

Shell access at ketnar.org is available in encrypted protocols only for customer security reasons, which means you will need a client that can communicate this way - but fear not! We have many free clients mirrored and available in the [download] section that you may take your pick from.

We also have a number of file transfer clients available for download, these allow you to upload and download files to and from your web space and account directories.

Overall Settings:

• Host: Ketnar.org (or your hosted domain name, both will work)
• Port: Default.
• Protocol: SSH2
• Compression: Optional
• Compression type: Try a few and see which one works best for you, you do not need to use compression if you do not wish to.
• File Transfer type: SCP or SFTP
